Hecker Nuesse Kuchen (Hickory Nut Cookies) Recipe

2 cups sugar

2/3 cup flour, sifted

3 eggs

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 cup hickory nuts, chopped


Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Beat the eggs until thick and lemon colored. Add
the sugar a
little at a time and beat thoroughly with each addition. Sift together flour,
baking powder,
cinnamon and salt. Fold into egg mixture. Add nuts.
Drop from teaspoon on a
cookie sheet. Bake until golden.
